Home Performance Evaluation

When you schedule your home performance evaluation with Bonney Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning here’s what you can expect:

We will schedule a time for one of our BPI Certified Home Building Performance Analysts to come to your home. Please allow from 60 to 90 minutes or more, depending on how large your home is. It would be helpful to have 12 months utility bills available for this visit.

Our Analyst will then ask you some questions about your home, after which he will need to survey your heating and air system, water heater, insulation and any other fixtures of your home that would affect performance.  At this point, the analyst will determine the utility rebate program for which your home will qualify.  He will give you a prioritized list of options for home efficiency upgrades and present an estimate for work to be performed.

If appropriate, a second appointment will be made for a whole house assessment.  In the assessment, we use blower doors, gas combustion analyzers and infrared cameras to properly determine a baseline for energy modeling.  This modeling will then be submitted to SMUD or PG&E to determine your rebate amounts.  The approval process can take two to five days.

After approval to proceed, Bonney Plumbing, Heating and Air will send qualified, trained technicians to your home to complete the work as outlined in a detailed scope of work that will be provided. As always, you will be pleased not only with the work done, but also by the courteous, professional manner of our employees.
After the work is complete, we will conduct thorough testing of your home to ensure the efficiency improvements.

As always, we ensure your complete satisfaction and will be eager to hear about your new experience in your upgraded home.
